A world-leading economics consultancy is looking for someone to join the regulation and finance practice, particularly within the energy sector. If you’re looking to make the step up into a management and client-facing role, this could be for you. The firm has several locations around the world (travel is, therefore, an option), and this position is in its Sydney office.

The successful candidate will be an economist trained and interested in industrial organization and/or applied microeconomics, and will have a strong foundation in empirical analysis. They have a range of skill-sets in the team, including competition economists, econometricians, litigation experts, regulatory economists, behavioral economists, and there is also a ‘cross-team’ approach meaning that if your experience and interests are more aligned to other areas, this could also be considered.

You will have an undergraduate degree in economics, master’s in economics and/or finance and a Ph.D. in Economics. Other key responsibilities include managing projects, business development activities, maintaining client relationships, and providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
