Competition Economist Zurich, Switzerland

A leading economics consultancy based across Europe is growing its competition practice and is looking for an office lead in Zurich. If you’re looking to make the step up into a management and client-facing role (or indeed already operating at this level) this could be for you. The firm has several offices across Europe, including London, Brussels, Dusseldorf, and more.

The successful candidate will be an economist trained and interested in competition economics across several industries. They have a range of skill-sets in the team, including competition economists, econometricians, litigation experts and behavioural economists, and there is also a ‘cross-team’ approach meaning that if your experience and interests are more aligned to other areas, this could also be considered.

You will have an undergraduate degree in economics, master’s in economics and/or finance and ideally 3-6 years’ experience at another consultancy, regulator/authority or blue-chip company. Ph.D. and MBA students are also desirable. Other key responsibilities include managing projects, business development activities, maintaining client relationships, and providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff.

As well as a competitive base salary, on offer is a highly competitive bonus, benefits package, and well-defined career path.
